Fletcher out of season

The mid-fielder Darren Fletcher seems to be taking break for health reasons. He has had several absence periods in the past seasons for suffering from ulcerative colitis. Darren was actually able to maintain remission of symptoms for some time, as his desire to play and loyalty to both his club and country was high. Yet, he now accepted medical advice to take an extended break for full recovery in the future. It's a huge loss that he is gone for the rest of the season, since no one in the squad can replace Darren's position. Hope his condition gets better. 

Rooney got confidence as his hair grows

Wayne Rooney, the 'devil' of M.U., has increasingly become confident of his own appearance as he got his bald hair treated. His hair is becoming thicker and thicker, which can be seen clear through TV. Some people ridiculously suggest that his hair is the reason for his change in personality. He once had been the 'devil' of his team, getting a yellow for literally every single match. But now he has become somewhat calm and gentle, and this period coincides with the growth of his hair. As a huge fan of Rooney, I authentically hope that he escape from his slump, and scores more goals.

Furgurson still bright on M.U.'s youngsters

Even though the United dropped out of Champions League, the furious Furgurson did not go on to blame it on the young players like Young and Jones. Those young players have mostly been the top 11 squad throughout this season, while older players like Giggs and Park were given less opportunities to play. The team has done quite well in EPL, though, maintaining the 2nd place until now. A number of media and numerous M.U. fans blamed the lost in Champions League on the new, young players. To me, their anger is somewhat of an exaggeration since the main reason they lost in the Champions League was not mainly due to young players, but due to the lack of strikers. As most of the M.U. strikers are in bench with injuries, no player is capable of goaling that can be compared to strikers. As Sir Alex Furgurson insists, the youngsters should be given as much opportunities as possible; that is how young players grow. Looking forward to M.U. in upcoming EPL and Karling Cup games.

EPL 2nd place = Europa League ?

The former Champions League finalist M.U. failed to make it to the tournament of Champions League 2011-2012, as they lost to FC Basel this week. As they were short of strikers, the Reds barely made their first and only goal. It's a shame that a team like M.U. ended up playing in Europa League. In my opinion, they need rebuilding of their squad; it's constituted only of young players. Players like Giggs or Park should be given more opportunities. They strategies and more goals; young players like Young and Welbeck are not enough. Hope to see better M.U. in EPL.

Furgurson says they will champ Europa, but far way to go

Manchester United was disgracefully dropped down to Europa League from  Champions League. Since Europa League is sort of like a secondary league, as a former Champions League Champion, M.U. is showing confidence in better play in Europa; at least Sir Alex Furgurson does. But considering the not-so-easy competants such as Manchester City, it seems M.U. is not on the easy going track. If M.U. shows no improvement in their play in the upcoming Europa games, no one can guarantee they will do any better in Europa than they did in Champions League. They should rather be humble and prepare their best for Europa.

M.U. short of strikers

The 'injury race' of Manchester United key strikers reached its end as Chicharito stumbled on his own feet and got his Archilles denton injured at the lastest match with Aston Villa in EPL. Ever since Kleverly of defense broke his leg, the curse handed over her baton to Welbeck, to Berbatov, to Chicharito eventually. The last three are the key strikers of the team, which is obvious to expect the team would go through a hard time scoring against competing teams. Actually that is what has happened to M.U. in the last five consecutive games. They won most of them, but scored no more than 1 goal for each game. Compared to the unstoppable offense in the earlier period of the season, the team got less aggressive concerning offense. As the greatest fan of M.U., I hope to see mid-fielders like Nani or Park to do more than their best. Their scoring goals will help the team to make up for the injured strikers, and will make the 2nd place of this season secure. It will be best for the strikers to return to the field, but unexpectable the time will be have taken, it's still best for the mid-fielders to do 200% of their capabilities. Look forward to the next match.

M.U. in crisis

The former finalist in Champions League is now in great crisis as they are short of reliable players. All three main strikers are injured now, and mid-fielders like Nani, Young, Park and Giggs are not living up to their fans' expectation. They as a whole scored less than 5 goals until now, which is very disappointing. One solution is to rebuild the team. Recruiting new mid-fielders should be the first priority. Or the current mid-fielders could switch positions.
